King Charles III and Queen Camilla continued their Australian tour today with stops in Sydney, and Queen Camilla wore a familiar brooch and a meaningful military badge during a pair of appearances.
On Tuesday, Queen Camilla made several stops in Sydney. She wore a blue shirt dress for visits to the Green Square Library, where she met authors and students participating in a series of writing workshops, and Refettorio OzHarvest Sydney. She also wore the dress to attend a community barbecue at Parramatta Park.
With the dress, she wore familiar pieces of jewelry, including her usual necklaces and bracelets, as well as a pair of earrings that belonged to the late Queen Elizabeth II. These feature sapphire, diamond, and ruby cluster clips with round pearl drops.
Camilla also pinned a brooch from her extensive personal collection of Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry to her dress. This white gold, sapphire, and diamond clip brooch comes from the brand’s Libellule line.
Camilla also owns a matching white gold and diamond Libellule brooch, and she often wears the two together as a pair. She’s wearing both brooches in this photograph, which was taken during the Diamond Jubilee visit to Guernsey in the summer of 2012.
Later, Charles and Camilla headed to Sydney Harbour, where they posed in front of the famous bridge and joined in the 50th anniversary celebrations of the Sydney Opera House.
Camilla changed into a white dress with dark stripes for the harbor visit, paired with gold jewelry. Her modern gold clip earrings feature pavé-set diamond and gold drops.
She also added another pin to her dress: the badge of the Royal Australian Corps of the Military Police. Camilla has been their Colonel-in-Chief since 2012.
